Let's design a book about growing things

Students explore requirements for growing plants and steps involved. They use a picture book and videos as ‘food-for-thought’. Students design and produce a short illustrated book for a pre-school or kindergarten that explains that explains how science involves solving problems and how it can help grow plants. They evaluate their design, and suggest improvements where necessary, giving reasons. Students use their book and share how to grow plants.
